I’d be happy to clarify how the backup feature works in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

When a backup request is marked as Queued, it means that it is waiting to be processed. The backup has not started yet because previous backups or tasks are still ongoing. The status will change automatically once the backup begins or is completed. Currently, you'll need to wait until the system processes the requests in order.

 

Regarding your second concern, you can link your backup to external storage, such as Google Drive. To do this, simply enter the email address where you want to save your backup file. Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Click on Advanced, then select Personal Cloud Backup.
  3. Choose Link Google Drive.
  4. Enter the email address and check the box to agree to create files in your Drive.
