It's good to hear that you're able to set up the customers' accounts, heidinorthern.

Yes, there's a way to import all customers' information through Excel. Here's how:

  1. Click on the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities, then Import1.PNG
  3. Click on Next.
  4. Select Customers2.PNG
  5. Choose Default template or Custom file.
  6. Browse the file and file in the information in the Data Import Wizard window.
  7. Click on Next3.PNG

If you'd like to import the Chart of Accounts list, that isn't possible. QuickBooks POS uses the default accounts from the QuickBooks Desktop. To learn more the account mappings, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Help menu.
  2. Select Help Content.
  3. Search for Default Chart of Accounts and Mappings.

I'll ensure you'll be able to set up your customers accordingly, @heidinorthern.

You can simply edit your customers list and add the discount from there. Here's how:

  1. On the QuickBooks homepage, click on the Customers menu.
  2. Select Customers List.
  3. Look for the customer that gets the 5% off.
  4. Click on the I Want to drop-down arrow.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Click on Edit Discount under the Edit Customer page.
  7. Select Apply fixed percentage discount to all items and add the percentage under the Customer Discount page.
  8. Click Save.

I've added this screenshot for additional reference.

This will work great!  Thank you!  With over 700 accounts, is there a way to do them all in bulk thru a worksheet import?
