I am trying to reconcile my bank account. The transactions that show up under the tab Categorized are not in the bank register. How do I fix this?

In the bank register not all of the transactions for the bank are showing. They are under the categorize tab in bank transactions.

Let's review your bank register by removing the filters to ensure that all transactions are being shown, Finance.

Before we proceed, please know that categorized transactions automatically appear in your bank register. If some transactions are not visible, it is because of the filter.

Here's how to remove all the filters in your bank register:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab, then select Chart of accounts.
  2. Look for the correct bank, then click View register.
  3. Click on Clear filter/View All.

Once done, review all transactions to ensure the categorized ones appear. You can also use the date filter to find specific transactions. For more information, please visit this article: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers in QuickBooks Online.

In the future, you might want to create bank rules to simplify your review of downloaded bank transactions. These rules can automatically categorize transactions for you.
