I can no longer open any Bank acounts registers (checking, savings, credit cards)

I can no longer open any Bank accounts registers (checking, savings, credit cards, etc.) I am using QB 2015 because I am retired and can not justify upgrading to the latest version but still need to keep track of time and expenses for small jobs and produce invoices and statements, so QB is still my best bet. I no longer need internet access for bank transaction downloading and have been able to use this old version for the years since it became unsupported without any issues until this last week or so. Maybe related, I also get an error message when trying to open the Accounts Receivable window, and then QB closes.
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening to me and if so, if there is a simple solution? Thanks.

You should be able to open all bank account registers even if the QuickBooks version is already discontinued. And if you’re not using the online banking feature.


The unusual behavior when opening the account registers is already reported to our engineers. They’re diligently working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. If you’re using the RoboForm app, I’m adding a link containing detailed instructions on how to resolve the error: Unable to open register and/or unrecoverable error when opening reports. 


However, if none of the suggestions work, I recommend signing up for our list of affected users. This way, you’ll get email updates about the investigation. I don’t want your personal data displayed in the Community for security reasons. Contacting our Technical Support Team ensures your company information is added in a safe environment.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Click on the Help icon at the top menu bar to select QuickBooks Desktop Help F1.
  2. In the Have a Question window, scroll down to choose the Contact us link.
  3. This will display the Contact Us screen.
  4. Navigate to Tell us more about your question section to enter the issue or topic in the field box.
  5. Press the Search button to display the Get Phone Number or Start a Message button.
  6. To expedite the process, make sure to provide this number: INV-49965.
