You can remove your personal bank account by unlinking it to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @awaywemow. Let me provide the detailed steps.

Before unlinking your personal bank account to QuickBooks, I suggest reviewing and categorizing your bank transactions first to add them to the account register. Once done, switch to accountant view to follow the steps below so you can disconnect your bank's online banking connection with QuickBooks. Let me show you how:

  1. From the Transactions menu, go to your Bank transactions.
  2. Select the bank tile and then click the Pencil icon.
  3. Pick Edit account info.
  4. Tick the Disconnect this account on save box.
  5. Hit Yes.

Also, I've added a video snippet as your guide.

For more detailed instructions, I recommend checking this article, especially when you'll have to make the account inactive later on: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online.
