I did my taxes a month ago and TurboTax froze up and won't let me submit my return. I need to erase my turbotax and start again, but I vaguely remember QuickBooks Self Employed stating that you could only transfer data once. Is that correct?

Hello there, robredneck.

Yes, that's right, we can only transfer data from QuickBooks Self-employed to the Turbotax. It is not recommended to delete the data from the Turbotax. Instead of erasing the data, I would suggest contacting our specialist to help you see if there is something that we can do about it.

Though I have checked and verified as well that there's an open investigation where our customer like you are not getting their data in Turbotax after exporting. The steps below will guide you through contacting our specialist. They will add you as one of the affected users and help you further on this matter.

  1. At the upper-right corner, click Assistant.
  2. Select General questions. In the search box, enter talk to human twice.
  3. Click I still need a human.
  4. Select Get a callback to talk to one of our specialists. Check out our phone support work schedule by going to the QuickBooks Self-Employed section.
