Hi there, @Mustafa786

Thanks for visiting the Community today. I'd be happy to share ideas about tracking inventory in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

First off, you'll have to set-up the Inventory tracking feature so you can start adding your items so you'll know how many items you actually have in stock for XS, S, M, L, and XL. Here's how:

  1. In the QuickBooks menu, select Preferences
  2. Select the Inventory icon.
  3. Ensure to select the boxes for:
  • Inventory and purchase orders are used
  • Warn if not enough stock to sell
  • Warn about duplicate purchase order numbers

Since you want to add clothing styles with various sizes, you'll have to enter each size separately. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Lists menu, then select Items
  2. Click the +▼ drop-down menu at the bottom left, then select New Item
  3. In the Type drop-down menu, select Inventory Part
  4. Enter all the necessary information about your clothing.
  5. Click Next to add another item with different sizes, then select OK when done.

For future reference, read through this article: Tracking orders for the items you need. It helps you learn about the inventory workflows in QuickBooks for Mac.

I'm always around here to help if you have more concerns. Stay safe.

You need to have an inventory management app with the matrix inventory feature. Unfortunately we have yet to find any solution for QB Desktop Mac. Consider having the QB Desktop Windows running on your Mac with Parallels, or put your QB license and data files on a QB cloud hosting, should you need to integrate with any 3rd party app.
