The best way to import a Trial Balance into QBO is with the import type Journal Entry.

NOTE: Any line in the import file that posts to an AR or an AP Account must reference a name (Customer or Vendor), and that name must already exist in the QBO company file.

Hi, @jane33

It's great to see you back in the Community. At this time, there isn't a way to import a trial balance report into QuickBooks Online. However, here's a list of the information you can import into your account:

  • Bank Data
  • Customers
  • Vendors
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Products and Services
  • Invoices

If you import transactions, then your last year's trial balance will build up to be what it was. Here's how to import information into your account:

  1. Go to the Gear (Settings) icon.
  2. Under the "Tools" section, pick Import Data
  3. Select what you'd like to import.

It's that easy. Below are a few links that can provide some additional information that will be helpful for your unique business.

Let me know if this helps. I want to make sure all of your concerns are addressed. Have a great day!
