Thank you for being here today, @BL2025. Let us proceed with the necessary steps to ensure that your entry is printed with an accurate logo.

Please note that QuickBooks Desktop operates differently on Windows and Mac, requiring distinct troubleshooting steps for each. The type of printer you use can affect how invoices and reports are printed, potentially altering their design. It's important to customize printer settings based on your QuickBooks version to ensure your documents look as intended.

Here’s how you can resolve the printing error:

For Windows:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download QuickBooks Tool Hub and save it to your Desktop.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe) and follow the on-screen instructions to install it, agreeing to the terms and conditions.
  4. Once the installation is complete, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the Tool Hub.
  5. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, click Program Problems.
  6. Choose QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. It should take about a minute to run.

 For Mac:

  1. Open the invoice or report and click on the Print icon.
  2. Select QuickBooks. Then, click Options or Margins to choose your alignment.
  3. Click Print.

Please be aware that some printers may not be able to print the full width for standard forms. In such cases, consider using custom forms with larger margins.

After running the tool, try printing the invoice again. If you still encounter the same issue, please proceed to Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.

Moreover, I have some useful articles that can help you manage all your customers and sales transactions: Income and Expenses for QuickBooks Desktop.

Thank you! The fix worked on my computer and the default printer (inkjet) connected to my computer. It still did not work on the other printer choice (laser) I sometimes use.  I didn't try to correct that - how would I do that?

I'm glad to hear that the troubleshooting steps my colleague gave worked well to successfully print the invoice using your PC and inkjet printer, BL2025. To work with the laser printer, you first need to download the latest driver for your specific model and operating system and install it. Let me explain this further.

An updated driver helps resolve potential communication issues between the printer and your computer. Additionally, updated drivers often fix bugs, enhance performance, and offer improved stability, making the entire printing operation more reliable and efficient.

You can open this link to learn how to download the latest printer driver. However, if you're not comfortable with it, you can have assistance with IT to do this.

You could also reconfigure your Print setup in QuickBooks Desktop specifically adjusting print margins so no text is cut off in printing. Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu and select Printer Setup.

       2. Choose Invoice in the Form Name.

       3. Pick your laser printer from the list under the Printer's name.

       4. Click on the Align button.

       5. Choose your template and adjust your alignment settings accordingly.

       6. Hit Ok.

       7. Adjust any additional printing settings as required.

       8. Click Ok.

This article offers guidance on how to correctly adjust the print alignment for continuous-feed printers in QuickBooks Desktop to ensure accurate and properly aligned form printing: Fix print alignment of continuous-feed printers.

Once this concern is resolved, you can now receive a payment from your customers in QBDT.

Thank you for following along with downloading the latest printer driver, and the steps on reconfiguring the printer setup, BL2025. If you have any more questions or need additional help, please respond to us promptly.
