Thank you for reaching out to the Community, Porterpianotuning. I'll provide clarity and troubleshooting steps to help you send your QuickBooks data to TurboTax.
The option to send to TurboTax is only available to the Self-Employed Tax Bundle and Self-Employed Live Tax Bundle. It's possible that last year, you only had the Self-Employed plan with a one-time TurboTax filing fee, which is why that option worked for you.
However, if you purchased the Self-Employed Tax Bundle or Self-Employed Live Tax Bundle but still don’t see the option to send data, I suggest performing some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. The system sometimes behaves strangely when the browser is full of outdated pages. Let's begin by signing in to your account in a private window. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
- Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
- Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
- Safari: Command + Shift + N
After starting a new private browsing session, please log into your account and check if you can send your QBSE information to TurboTax. If you are able to do so, I recommend clearing your regular browser's cache to ensure the program runs smoothly. You can also use other devices and supported browsers as alternatives.
I am also including this article, which will guide you on how to send your self-employed tax information to TurboTax Self-Employed or TurboTax Live: Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax info to TurboTax Self-Employed or Live.
Moreover, you can refer to this article to understand what doesn't export from QuickBooks Self-Employed to TurboTax Self-Employed: Why some deductions don't automatically export to TurboTax Self-Employed.
The Community is always available for any inquiries or updates you may have as you send your QuickBooks information to TurboTax. Please feel free to post your questions or leave your concerns in the comment section. We are here to help.
