I need help with deactivating a vendor on the app. It's not giving me the option.

Welcome you here in the QuickBooks Community, @attention2detailcsllc. The inactive option is available on iOS, it is currently not available on the Android app.

If you are using an iPhone/iPad, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Menu ☰ and select Expenses & Bills, then select Vendors.
  2. Tap the name of the vendor you want to deactivate.
  3. Click the Edit button (or the three-dot icon).
  4. Select Make inactive. Confirm by selecting 'Yes' or 'Make inactive'.

After following the steps and still unable to do it, make sure you update your QuickBooks to the latest version.

You can also perform this action via a web browser and make it inactive, by going to All apps, click the Expenses & Bills, and then Vendor. Check the boxes next to the vendors you want to inactivate, then click the dropdown arrow under ACTION, then choose Make Inactive. Hit Yes for confirmation.

If you need to merge your customers and vendors, refer to this article for detailed steps: Merge duplicate accounts, customers, and vendors.

Please don't hesitate to come back to the Community if you need anything else related to managing vendors, running reports, or any other QBO-related tasks.
