I need to get started on a budget. The only options are start form scratch or use previous year's data so my starting point is 2017Can I set up a budget using the current year's data using the wizard?

You're right. The options when creating a budget in QuickBooks Desktop are Create budget from scratch and Create budget from previous year's actual data.

I also believe that being able to create budget using the current's year data would help customers plan and make better decisions for their business.
