You'll have to turn on the multi-currency feature so you're able to select the currency (USD) for your account. Please note that once you turn on the said feature, you're unable to turn it off or change your home currency.

Try accessing this QuickBooks Community page in any private/incognito browser. It is very likely that you are using the QBO CA version. If your company is located in the US, you will need to sign up for a new QBO US account and cancel your QBO CA account.

Thank you @Fiat Lux - ASIA !! I think the incognito mode worked! I also appreciate the quick response. My company is based in Canada and I have the Canadian version of QBO, but my services are provided to a client in the US and my hourly rate is set in USD. When I go to add a service in QBO, there is no option for me to change the price from CAD to USD.
