Payroll PPP Loan Forgiveness Where can I get the information about my payroll in Quick Books
Hey there, @ejc21PrinceSt.
Can you share with us the details of your concern? Our Community team and other QuickBooks users might help you as well in the public forum.
Having said, are you trying to prepare your Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness in QuickBooks Online Payroll?
If so, I'll provide you some helpful articles you can check which are related to PPP loan forgiveness. These also include how QuickBooks identifies and calculates the PPP payroll cost.
Here is the list:
If there's anything else you need, you're always welcome here in the Community to post again. We'll be always around ready to help.
I can't get onto quickbooks to login. When it pulls up, it said I had an update for me. I tried to update. I said it failed to update. It gave me 3 options, abort, ignore and try again. I could only abort. Now I cant even get into quickbooks, it says I have to "update now." But when I try to update, it tells me the same thing. So I have to abort.
Hey there, @Kip6.
Thanks for following the thread. I'm happy to provide some insight into your QuickBooks not opening.
Before we get started, are you using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop? Knowing which product you're using will help me to provide the correct steps to resolve your errors when signing in.
In the meantime, I've included some basic troubleshooting steps for both programs below.
If you're using QuickBooks Desktop, I recommend running a clean install.
Here's how:
If you're using the QuickBooks Online App, you can follow the same steps above to uninstall and Reinstall it. However, if you're using a browser and are experiencing these errors, I recommend clearing the cache from your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. These files can often become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like the one with your sign in. I've included the links for all support browsers that contain the steps to clear the cache below.
Please keep me posted if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach out to the Community or me at any time. We'll be here every step of the way. Take care and have a Merry Christmas!
I have been trying to do my Payroll for the last 3 weeks, as I have been doing for many years, but something has changed and I cannot get to my Payroll anymore, just to a message on how much better things are. I have talked with three or four reps who don't seem to understand what the problem is, though one did take me on a long trip where I was able to log in, however I have not been able to recreate the journey. In the meantime I am copying previous paychecks to pay my two employees but I don't think those are being registered with the tax people. How can I get my Payroll part of Quickbooks running again? Everything else is fine. As I was writing this I got a call from Intuit and after saying hello was hung up on - again. What do I do?

Hello, @artannex.
Thanks for joining this thread and providing the steps you've done to fix this. I'm here to help ensure that you can run payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Are you getting any error messages while trying to run payroll? If so, may I know what specific error you're having? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution for your concern.
In the meantime, let's try to perform some troubleshooting by signing into your QBO using a private browser (incognito). This will help us check if this is a browser-related (cache and cookies) issue.
Here's how:
Once logged in, try running payroll again to double-check. If it works, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.
I'm also adding this article to learn more about payroll in QBO: Payroll 101.
Don't hesitate to leave a reply below if you need additional assistance. I'll be around to help!
