You can speak with an agent by scheduling a callback through the Help icon.

 

As we arrange that, though, I would love to understand your situation better. Could you give me a little more detail about what you needed to get done? Any details about your concern can help us narrow things down and provide you with accurate resolution.

 

Though, if you'd like to contact our phone support, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Help menu.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a keyword about your concern in the How can we help? field.
  5. Hit Continue.
  6. Choose how you'd like to connect with us: 

We are available from Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT.

I need to speak with an agent.

I don't see that option and have been trying to get a customer service agent for over an hour. Please help. I have followed all of your prompts and nothing works. I need a person!

This is not the impression we want you to experience, @Another not happy.

 

We can perform some steps to see the option of contacting our support team. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual responses. You can log in to your account using a private browser.

 

Here's how: 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari

Once signed in, let's get back to reach our support team. If it works, go back to your default browser and clear its cache and cookies to refresh the system. If the issue persists, I'd recommend using other supported browsers in accessing the tab.

 

Due to COVID-19, we have limited staff and reduced our support hours to 6 AM -6 PM PT Monday-Friday.

I need to speak with an agent.

For the first time PA sales tax was added to our bills.  We are tax exempt.  How do I get the tax removed?

I can help remove Pennsylvania (PA) sales tax on your bills, @fhauth.

 

Since you're tax-exempt, I take it that you haven't set up sales taxes in QuickBooks. In this case, we'll have to modify some preferences on the Account and settings page.

 

You may have enabled the Charge sales tax option when tracking billable expenses and items. No worries. I know the steps needed on how to disable it.

 

Here's how to do it:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon, and then choose Account and settings.
  2. Select the Expenses tab.
  3. Go to the Bills and expenses section, and then choose the pencil icon to edit.
  4. Make sure to turn off the Charge sales tax checkbox.
  5. Click Save and then Done.

Also, you have the option to untick the checkbox under the Tax column manually.

If this isn't the case, you can use the Audit Log to review who made the changes.

 

You'll want to run vendor-related reports to keep track of your bills. To do this, go to the Reports menu, and then select one from the What you owe section.
