The system is a nightmare!! I can't update mine either. Chat was very unhelpful and has not resolved my issue. I have wasted several hours trying to resolve this relatively simple issue. Every other provider I use has updated new card details with real ease. Disappointed with QB on this issue.
I received an email stating my credit card has expired and when I went to fix it, the screen went blank

Your browser may be having trouble while loading the screen. In your case, we can isolate this by switching to a private browser and then logging in to QuickBooks Online from there. We recommend this since this browsing mode is free from cache files that cause the QuickBooks screen to go blank.
Then follow these keyboard shortcuts:
If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This way, the browser will start fresh and load the latest QuickBooks Online data from the server. This also optimize the browsers performance.
Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers like Firefox to log in and update your payment method.
In addition, I've included this article for your reference about updating your subscription: Update your billing and subscription info in QuickBooks Online. This contains other sub-topics like changing your billing cycle and receiving payments using QuickBooks Payments.
Please get back to me if you have other questions about managing your payment subscription in QBO. I'll be around to help. Have a great day!
