What if they WEREN'T archived, or even filed for that matter. How do I access old 941's to file now? Knowing they are late.
Hello there, NewToThis1,
Our Payroll Support will be able to help you archive the forms. However, please note that you're unable to file it in QuickBooks. You can use the archived forms as a reference for manual filing.
Check out this article for future reference: File quarterly tax forms.
I'll be around if you have more questions. Don't hesitate to leave a reply.
This sucks! Why do you make it so we have to call your support? GIVE US THE INFO WE NEED!
I wish I could make it better, @thattrav.
As much as I'd love to offer help and share how you can view your payroll forms older than 2019, we've got a separate team who can better address this in no time.
Normally, you can only view your old payroll forms for a year or two within the calendar year after filing them. With this, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support.
With their tools, one of our specialists can help you archive and view the old payroll forms you need. To contact our dedicated support:

I have a Sub Chapter S corp. I mail my 941 and 940 forms in by hard copy directly to IRS. Does IRS have website that I can view previously filed 941 and 940 forms? I'm familiar with eftps but that only has records for payments and amounts due.
Thanks for joining in the thread, Bobcat17.
I'll share information on how you can request a copy of your previously filed 941 and 940 forms.
At this time, the IRS doesn't have a direct website where you may view those filed forms. Instead, you might request a copy of the tax returns you've filed. For more information, please go to this page: Routine Access to IRS Records.
Also, it's much easier to file your payroll tax forms if you use our online service. You'll have easy access to all of your previously filed tax forms. If you've made up your mind, you can review this resource for more insights: Set up e-file and e-pay in Online Payroll.
Let me know if you have further questions about payroll tax forms. I'll be right here to help you.
