Are they open in tabs in the window? That's the default behavior. You can turn tabbing off in QuickBooks->Preferences under tabs. But it actually works pretty well.

Have you tried closing and launching QuickBooks again? This will allow the updates to be applied properly to the program.
Or did you encounter any error messages or codes?
