Buy nowHow do I get back to the original account I had opened to list deductible items from bank account?
Hi there, Pgaestel,
I understand how important it is to retrieve your account and get back on track with your business. Let me provide further assistance.
Before we proceed, could you clarify what you mean by "account now lost"? Are you referring to a bank account that seems to be missing from your Chart of Accounts, or are you unable to locate the account within your QuickBooks company file?
If you have multiple QuickBooks accounts or email addresses, it’s possible you’ve signed in to the wrong account. To ensure you access the correct account, follow these steps:
1.Sign in to QuickBooks.
2. Click on your Account Profile Icon.
3. Look for the options to Switch Business or Select a Company.
4. Select the company where the bank and deductible items were originally recorded.
However, if you’re referring to a missing bank account, I recommend checking your Chart of Accounts to confirm if the account is still listed and properly connected. Additionally, review the account register, filtering transactions by an appropriate date range to ensure nothing is missing.
For older transactions, you can review their details in your account history to locate any missing transactions. You may refer to this article: Find missing downloaded transactions.
On the other hand, please note that when uploading transactions into QuickBooks, the transactions you've entered will not be missing unless they are turned inactive, modified, or deleted by someone. You can check these changes in your Audit Log to confirm why those transactions are missing.
Please don't hesitate to drop a post below if you still need further assistance.
