Could you please provide more details about sorting invoices by customer name? Are you saying that you were able to do this before, but now the option has disappeared?
Currently, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) does not support sorting invoices by name. However, you can use the search function as a workaround to locate the specific invoices you need.
Here's how:

Alternatively, you can download your invoices as an Excel file and sort them manually. To do this, click the download icon located in the bottom right corner, underneath the Create Invoice button.

Hi, I’m having the same issue with my Self-Employed QuickBooks and those two items that you Redboxed are not available As features on our QuickBooks software, for some reason, they used to be there, but recently the search bar right beside status and date has been removed, and I can’t speak for the other person in this conversation, but that is a vital tool that gets used every day in my business.
Hi, kriscrane77. I can see why having the search bar option was so valuable to you and how it made sorting your invoices easier.
It looks like you’ve posted a question about searching for invoices and customers. My colleague has already provided detailed information to help you, which you can easily access using this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/do-more-with-quickbooks/does-anybody-else-know-how...

The answer II received is no longer correct. There is no longer a third "name" box . I was told because quickbooks "self -employed" is being phased out it is no longer being updated. Since this feature is not an update but a downgrade, a taking away of something that had been there I assume it is a punishment for not upgrading to a higher paying service. I anm very disappointed and am actively looking into other software products.
I 100% percent agree with you , and I am doing the same thing because for the money that I pay a year for QuickBooks, I shouldn’t be downgraded!! Let me know if you find a better More accommodating company thanks
