I want to delete customers not apart of my team so employees cant see all imported contacts

My landlord and others that I've paid as a customer are viewable to employees that have the option to select a customer. How can I clean this up?

You can only hide customers from your employees by making them inactive instead of deleting them, Christina.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), it's important to know that you cannot permanently delete a customer profile. As a workaround, you have the option to make them inactive, which hides them from your active customer list. However, this action doesn't completely hide the profile from view. Employees who possess certain user roles and access rights may still have the ability to see these inactive profiles, depending on their permissions within the system.

Additionally, to manage which employees can view inactive customer profiles, you can adjust their user roles and access accordingly. This ensures that only authorized users can access sensitive customer information, maintaining privacy and data security within your account.

You can refer to this article for options that match your employees' user roles and permissions in QBO.: User roles and access rights.

Lastly, I'll share this article in case you want to run customized financial reports tailored to your needs.: Common custom reports in QuickBooks Online.
