I was using quickbooks desktop and now online. When I go to pull balance sheets it shows retained earnings. I am trying to figure out how to remove that.

Retained Earnings account displays the profit a company reinvests in itself.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have an option to remove Retained Earnings from the Balance Sheet because it's a standard accounting component for the equity report. QBO automatically calculates and displays retained earnings, reflecting the cumulative net income (or losses) from prior years.
