If I close Quickbooks online, how long does the data stay for?

I'd be glad to share how long you can access your data if you cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @Paula.

If you decide to forego your QBO subscription, you'll have one-year read-only access to your data after the cancellation date. However, your data will only be available for 90 days using the trial version.

To cancel an account:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Under Your Company, select Account and Settings.
3. Click the Billing & Subscription tab.
4. In the QuickBooks section, click Cancel subscription.
   
5. Select Continue to Cancel, then Continue to Cancel again.
6. Answer the short survey, then click Confirm Cancel.

You can convert data to a QB Desktop file format for archive before cancelling your account. You can open it later on the trial version for 30 days if required.
