If you pre-pay for your account and cancel it, do you still have access to the account through the pre-paid period?

I pay yearly and have another 6 months until my account would renew. I will cancel at the end of this period. I would prefer to cancel now so I don't accidentily forget, but want to know if my account will be accessible until that time. Customer service has not been of any help answering this.

Our goal has always been to offer efficient and straightforward assistance every time a customer contacts us for support. Let me turn this around and directly answer your questions, adam133.

You will retain full access to the service for the remainder of the prepaid annual period.

Canceling now will prevent automatic renewal, but your subscription benefits remain active through the remaining 6 months you've paid for. This means you can use the service fully until the subscription expires.

Please note that after your billing period ends, we’ll store your data for an additional year. However, you can no longer access it unless you resubscribe. After that, we delete all data, including stored receipts.

Here's an article about this for more details: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.
