Join nowHello All,
Happy 2020!!
I was wondering if any of you had already done what I am attempting to do which would save me some programming time. I have a .iif file which loads information into QuickBooks. What I need to do is create that exact same file from Microsoft Access 2016. If someone has already done this, and is willing to share their code, it would save me some time. Having a sample of how to generate the heading line (e.g. !CUST..... and !TRNS/!SPL) and pulling data for each would be great. I basically need to create a TAB delimited file. I have the SQL knowledge and can share that in return.
Any information is much appreciated!
All the best in the New Year,
Fortuna7

You can download our QuickBooks IIF import tool kit for reference in creating an .IIF file. Our IIF import tools contains the following components that can guide you through the process:
To install our IIF import kit:
Here's an article you can read for more details and learn more about the .IIF import kit: IIF Overview: import kit, sample files, and headers
Then in case you want to export your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) data to MS Excel files, you can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Import or export MS Excel files.
Let me know if you have other concerns with your QBDT by leaving a comment below. I'd be happy to help.
Thanks so much for the quick response. I have downloaded the kit and read all the documentation and familiarized myself with the samples. Was just wondering if anyone else had written anything from MS Access.
Hi there, Fortuna7.
It is great to see that our prompt support made you happy.
We currently don't support Microsoft Access. What I can do is to personally send it in as feedback to our product engineers. I'll let them know about adding the MS Access as one of our software compatibles.
