IIF Import Error-matching dates

Attempting to import IIF Files in QuickBooks Desktop 2019 that has sales for multiple days and getting an error message [ERROR] [2019-02-07] The date in the distribution line must be the same as the transaction header [11081] .  File format imports single day sales records correctly.  If the file is hand modified to have all dates the same, the below file imports without issue. What might be missing in our setup to import invoices with multi day sales records?

IIF Import Error-matching dates

Well, the message is rather stupid as there is no reason to pay any attention to the SPL dates.  Each transaction has one date in an accounting system, not several, and SPL dates are redundant/extra information in an IIF file.  The lack of logical thinking for whoever invented this message is astounding.

 

You can work around this and leave your file the way it is using these recommendations:
