IIF Import Issue

Hello,

I have a strange issue when importing an IIF file.  The data gets imported, however the last digit on the account does not, so QB creates a new account that is exactly as the other but missing that digit.

Example:

Account is: 1602 · REM AMEX BLUE XXX09/XXX07

And when I upload the IIF file it creates the account:

1602 · REM AMEX BLUE XXX09/XXX0

The import drops the 7...

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

IIF Import Issue

If you're actually trying to import exactly "1602 · REM AMEX BLUE XXX09/XXX07" in the ACCNT field, then that's likely why.  That account name is 32 characters long, but accounts can only be 31 characters long.

The mistake is including the account number as part of the name.  Instead, use only the account name: "REM AMEX BLUE XXX09/XXX07" and then it should work.
