Let me share some information about downloading bank transactions into your account, Cfaa004.
I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case about this one. When connecting to Online banking, QuickBooks Online (QBO) automatically downloads the bank transactions for the last 90 days (or more).
To upload the older transactions from your bank, just use the Web Connect feature to manually download them. Before doing this, let's get the date for the oldest transaction in your account to avoid duplicate.
Here's how:
- Click Accounting on the left menu.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Find the bank or credit card account you want to upload more transactions into.
- Then hit View register.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list.
- Write down the date of the oldest transaction. In many cases, the oldest transaction is the opening balance.
Then, proceed to Step 2: Download transactions from your bank section in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Once done, continue to Step 7 to finish the importing process.
You can also import bank transactions into QBO using Excel CSV (comma-separated values) files. Just refer to this article for the steps and details: Import bank transactions using Excel CSV files.
Fill me in if you need a hand with categorizing your bank transactions or any QBO related. I'll be here to help.
