I have Quicken 2017 for Mac which has moved to a subscription model. I only use it for tracking expenses (since it could export to turbotax) but now I'm not using Turbotax. I would like to import the last 3 years of transactions and bank account connections into Quickbooks 2020 for Mac but I don't see any way of doing that. Is there a method? I can export to QXF (WIN) or QMTF (mac) but I don't see an import. Only an IIF but that isn't my file option.

I can run windows on my mac, but can I use a trial QB for windows to do this conversion? I don't want to buy another version just to do the import. ALSO, do you know if this will import my bank info to do online downloads? Or will that have to be reentered by hand?
You may utilize the trial license of QB 2020 Pro and QB 2020 Mac to convert your file.
Once you are happy with it, you can purchase the license of QB 2020 Mac later. You may purchase QB 2020 Mac 1 user for $300 directly or around $200 thru a partner/reseller.
I have a major question here. Looking at the steps to convert the file back to QB 2020 for Mac from QB Windows, it appears that it creates a complete company file. That is a problem in that I already have a company file on QB for Mac. I have all my customers and accounts, scheduled invoicing, etc. I don't want to replace any of that. What I want to be able to do is import my expenses and bank/credit card information.
You see, for years, QB did not export to Turbotax on the Mac, when I did my own taxes. Now it doesn't matter. I can keep Quicken 2017 as an historical record of my purchases up till May 1, but after that, it will not download new transactions. So I either have to start tracking in QB or I have to pay a subscription for Quicken.
SO, is there a way to export only bank info and expenses to IMPORT into my existing Company file?
You may import data into QB Desktop Windows by using the 3rd party tool. Unfortunately there is no such app supporting QBD Mac.
