INACTIVATE PARTS takes a lot of time

When trying to inactivate inventory items, our Quickbooks takes about 30 seconds to process once an item is selected for inactivation.  That doesn't sound like a lot of time, but it takes one hour to inactivate 120 items and we have a large number of part numbers to inactivate.  Does anyone else have this delay issue and is there a better way to inactivate items.  We are inactivating the items from the Inventory Center screen.

INACTIVATE PARTS takes a lot of time

Hi there, @BernieJ.

Let me share some insights on how to minimize the waiting for inactivating an item.

Here are the things you'll want to spot and work on to improve QuickBooks performance:

Also, I know that this enhancement will mean so much help if we're able to inactivate multiple items at once or have a better way to inactivate them. In the meantime, I encourage you to visit our Firm of the Future page to check some updates in QuickBooks such as news, feature release, and product enhancements.

For reference, you can view this article on how to remove items and look for FAQs to find some answers like how many items you can set up in QuickBooks: Add, edit, and delete items.

I've added a future reference in case you experience lag and other performance relevant issues within QuickBooks and your computer:

I'd be happy to assist you if you have additional questions about QuickBooks. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Stay safe and well!
