Invoice Imported style - SKU field defective?

Hello,

I already spent hours customizing an invoice style. 99.99% is set and ready to use.

However the SKU field does not print at all on the PDF Sales Invoice. Is it a known problem or do you have a workaround?

Three precisions:

  • weirdly, the <sku> field is not recognized during import. <SKU> neither.
  • I did match <sku> with SKU on step two of the import...
  • I tried addong the <sku> tag somewhere like on below screenshot. It does not print either

Invoice Imported style - SKU field defective?

I want to ensure that the SKU column will show up when printing your invoice, joanfou.

I appreciate you for providing us in-depth details of your concern and a screenshot. This helps us better isolate the problem. Let's make sure that the setting in your Sales is turn on so that while creating the invoice, the SKU will show up. Here's how:

  1. Go the Gear icon located in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Account and Settings, choose Sales.
  3. Click the edit icon perpendicular to Product and services and tick the box in Show SKU column.
  4. Hit Save, then Done.

You can also see this in the Add inventory products in QuickBooks Online article for more information about SKU's. Then, make sure we updated the Adobe Reader/Acrobat since we use this as the default program in printing forms. It helps them take advantage of its security and stability improvements. I'll guide you how.

  1. Launch the Adobe program.
  2. Select Help.
  3. Click Check for Updates.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Updater window to download and install the latest updates.

Once done, try printing your invoice again. If the same thing happens, we can repair their Adobe Reader to help fix this. We can also try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. Web-based platforms like QBO collect cache files (cookies) to save you time, but this can impact processes and cause them to not work. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

Feel free to visit our Sales and customers page for more insights about managing your company's income and customers.

I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps, as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Feel free to reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Take care always.

Invoice Imported style - SKU field defective?

Hi,

I have followed all your steps and tried the different solutions. Thank you for the quick help/

The SKU still does not print... I do have the feeling SKUs are not completely implemented in the Import custom template option. The <sku> field is indeed not recognized during import and has to be manually assigned to the field "SKU".

Something worth looking into for your tech teams.

All the best.

I also have same issue. Trying to use the <sku> field in a custom import invoice and match this to SKU in QBO during the process but the field does not show up on the imported invoice style.

Please advise when a solution has been found.
