Invoice Reminders

This is a feature request.


On the Invoices screen, you can easily select an overdue invoice and send a reminder. But there is no visual (that I can see) that says a reminder has been sent. There should be a record of reminders sent, perhaps as part of the Status so we don't inadvertently spam our customers.

Also, you can review your account's audit log. It also shows detailed information about the invoice transaction.


Here's how:

  1. Open  the customer's invoice.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.

Invoice Reminders

Unfortunately, it does not appear as if Reminder Notices are included in the Activity log. I have clicked on and reviewed the activity log of an invoice that I have sent a Reminder for, at that event is not mentioned in the activity.

Yes, there isn't a log that literally says you've sent a reminder. I'll take this as feedback for future enhancements.


With the current setup, if you'll see two email (sent) logs in the Activities section, you can assume that the last one is a reminder, especially when the date is close to the due date.


By the way, you can set up automatic reminders for your future invoices so you won't have to check each one.

I see. So if it says Invoice Sent anywhere in the Activity log, that's a reminder notice. It would be helpful if this could be a bit more explicit. On the Invoice Summary page, there's a status bar with options Sent - Viewed - Paid - Deposited. A nice enhancement would be if I hovered the mouse (or clicked on) each of these categories, it would provide a quick view of the related activity. For example, if I hover the mouse over Sent, it would show the dates & times the invoice or a reminder was sent. If you hover over Viewed, it would show the dates/times the invoice was viewed. The whole point of this summary screen is so that you don't have to click on and review every invoice individually.


Additionally, I note that when I click on several invoices, in the detailed Activity, it says it has been viewed many times. Yet on the summary screen, the status is Sent, not Viewed.

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Type in your suggestion in the description box and click Next
  3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
  4. Click the drop-down list to select the appropriate category, then click Send message.
