Hi there, @kevinacrey.
Let me help figure out other ways so you can save the template in QuickBooks.
You're right, QuickBooks should operate in a sticky mode. But since you keep opening the wrong template, I'd suggest running the Verify Build Tool to isolate this further.
I also recommend following the suggestions on this related post if the Verify Rebuild Tool won't work: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Reports-and-accounting/How-can-I-make-my-custom-invoice-temp....
However, if the issue persists, it'd be best to contact our Desktop Care Support. They can access your account in a secure environment and help dig deeper on what's causing this issue.
Here's how you can get their contact information:
- Go to: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
- Choose your QuickBooks Product.
- Select your QuickBooks Version.
- On the Contact Us page, click a topic.
- Click on the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.
I'll be here to help if you have other questions about invoice templates. Have a good one.
