Invoices Prior To System Update

Since my employer switched to a consolidated Online Quickbooks for his business in 08/2018, older invoices are no longer available to be viewed. Is there any way to recover those invoices or were they lost after the update?

Hello, MiamiCBD.

Recovering those invoices in QuickBooks Online is my priority. Let's get this sorted out.


To recover those invoices, you'll need to recreate those transactions since you can no longer view them in QuickBooks.


To do that, here's how:


  1. Select Create ⨁, then select Invoice.
  2. From Customer ▼ drop-down, choose the name of your customer. Verify the other information as well.
  3. From the Terms ▼ drop-down, choose the term when you expect the payment from your customer.
  4. Check the Invoice date and the Due date. Note: By default, the Due date is set to 30 days from their Invoice date, but you can change either date if needed.
  5. Under the Product/Service column, select the item or service that is being billed, then complete the rest of the fields and other optional information.
  6. Select Save or Save and close.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Company.
  2. Click (?) Help at the upper right corner.
  3. Select Contact US on the pop-up.
  4. Enter a brief description of your concern then hit Continue.
  5. Click Get a callback.
  6. Enter your contact information.
  7. Select Call me.
