I need a call back?

I was told a couple of weeks ago that we could have our last payroll end on December 31st.

The person that I talked to said that would automatically happen.  Our paystubs processes dated 1/1/2021??

Nice to have you joined this thread, @barbksforthowardapts.

Allow me to provide some insights in running your payroll on time. You’ll want to submit your paychecks a day earlier than usual. This way, when your process date falls on a holiday or a non-banking day, your funds will be drawn from your account the same day.

That being said, we’ll need to change your paycheck date to Thursday, 12/31/2020 and ensure to submit your payroll before 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Wednesday, 12/30/2020. This way, your employees will receive their paycheck by Friday, 01/01/2021. You can also check article for more details on how do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?

To learn more about what happens when payday falls on a holiday or weekend, check out this link for reference: When do I need to submit payroll to pay employees on time?

I’m also adding this article that can guide you through the steps on how to invite your employees and view their paycheck online: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s and more.

If you need anything else, let me know by leaving a reply. I'll be right here to help you with your payroll and other concerns with QuickBooks. Have a good one and happy holidays!

I can help you check if the paydate was successfully changed in QuickBooks Online (QBO), barbksforthowardapts.

You can log in to your QBO account and open the paycheck list to see the details of your payroll. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu on the left panel and choose Employees.
  2. Click Paycheck list.
  3. Look for the date under the PAY DATE column.

If you need some corrections, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Team. They can help correct your payroll records in a secure environment.

Also, I've added this article to help you get ready during tax season: QuickBooks Online year-end guide and checklist.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you need anything else concerning payroll. I'm always glad to help you.
