Is it possible to speak to a live agent on the phone about quickbooks online?

I've had 4 chat sessions that all timed out before my issue was resolved. How do I speak to a live person?

Is it possible to speak to a live agent on the phone about quickbooks online?

The same way that you requested the chat, but choose to speak to someone, instead. 

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
    • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
    • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
      • Start a chat with a support expert.
      • Get a callback from the next available expert.
      • Ask the community to get help from businesses like you

Unfortunately, when I follow these steps the only options I get are "Ask the Community" and "Chat".  No option for a call back.

Let's perform the recommended troubleshooting steps to determine what causes the issue. There are times that an issue like this resolves by running some steps.

 

We can start with opening QuickBooks on a private window. It is the best place to identify unexpected issues on the browser. I've added these keyboard keys to open one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

If it fixes the issue, we can go back to the regular browser and ensure to clear its cache. A piled cache can also be the reason for some browser behavior.

 

 We can also switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
