Issue with printing 1099 QB Desktop Mac 2016

I have QB desktop for Mac 2016 and running on a server. I am in single user admin mode.  I am trying to print 1099's and after setting the information up and verifying in the 1099 summary, when I go to file> print forms> the 1099/1096 option is greyed out. I can't access the wizard to continue. Any ideas??

Printing your 1099 form is my priority, @karen4cg.

I want to make sure you're able to use the product to it's full capacity. Let me help share some information on how you can print and send your 1099 forms as it was before.

Here are the possible reasons your print 1099 form is grayed out:

  • Make sure you're able to log in on a single user mode.
  • Ensure the company file you're accessing is not a shared file.
  • Closed all open windows for Vendors.
  • 1099 Form printing preferences is not set.

I’d recommend revisiting your Preferences to see how printing 1099 forms is set up. Here’s how:

  1. In the QuickBooks menu, go to Preferences.
  2. Select Customization section.
  3. Choose 1099s.
  4. Click the box for 1099-MISC forms are filed.

If the issue persists, I’d recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. A specialist will be able to access your account in a secured environment and further assist you via remote access.

Here's how to contact us:

  1. Visit: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Choose your QuickBooks Product.
  3. Select your QuickBooks Version.
  4. On the Contact Us page, click a topic.

Try quitting QuickBooks and then starting it again. Be sure your company file is open.
