Issues with my software.

Hi There,
 
I am glad to use QuickBooks as my daily software. But I've recently encountered a number of issues with it. Here they are;
 
  1. I cannot navigate the "Apps" tab from the menu.
  2. I cannot use my "User Profile" link under the cog icon. I always encounter an error.
  3. I do not have any option of "Payroll Taxes" under Taxes option.
  4. I encountered discrepancies in the product pricing plans, the website shows a different amount (i.e. $15) than what I actually paid (i.e $21.70).
Currently, I am using QuickBooks Plus.
I am anticipating a prompt and positive response. It would be of great help if you can look up to my matter as quickly as possible so I can get back to my software again.

Hello there, Tahseen Islam,

 

It seems that you're subscribed with QuickBooks Online International. Apps tab and payroll taxes are unavailable in your region.

 

As for accessing the User Profile, let's try to do basic troubleshooting. Let's use a private browser, this disables saving the browsing history and the web cache.

  • Google Chrome: press CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press CTRL + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works with a private browser, please access your account with the default browser and clear cache. The browser hold onto information which can cause problems over time. It's always a good idea to clear cache on regular basis. You can also try to use a different browser.

 

For the pricing plan, we offer 50% off for 6 months if you opt to Buy Now instead of going through the free 30-day trial.

  1. If there aren't any payroll taxes option available, then how can I keep track and set up some taxes on my payroll expenses? If not, then any alternatives?
  2. In addition, how can I add another company with the same account? Does it require to upgrade in the subscription? Or a simple one will do it?

I can see that your reply helped me a lot with my query. It would be great if I can find a solution to these two. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

When you subscribe to another company file, you'll see a hyperlinked Add another company. Click the link and you'll be routed to a page that will for your User ID and Password. Afterwards, you can Add a new company. 

 

Let me show you how: 

  1. Click this link: quickbooks.intuit.com
  2. You can either choose Buy now & Save or use a 30-day free trial
  3. Select your QuickBooks Plan or version
  4. You'll be routed to the sign in page where you enter your basic information. 
  5. Please refer to the screenshots below if you chose the trial or buy now:plan.PNG

Let's start with your first question. As what my colleague explained, the payroll functionality is unavailable in the QuickBooks Online international version. As a workaround, you can keep track of your payroll taxes and expenses by creating a journal entry. For the detailed information, check this article: Recording payroll transactions manually.

 

Regarding your last question, you'll have to subscribe to a new account so you can add another company. In QBO, one company is equivalent to one account. You can also consolidate multiple companies under one user ID

I can not find a way to add multiple companies under one user ID. I just ended up adding more users. I just can't actually find that particular "Link or Something" to add up another company.
