Item cost price incorrect in Purchase Order

I have desktop Premier 2018

My cost price that I have in my item/Inventory has stopped pulling though correctly into my purchase orders.  (attached)

It also stops calculating the vat.

This just happens suddenly and im panicking to get my business going again.

Item cost price incorrect in Purchase Order

It is a quirk in QBDT, the price pulls and updates the inventory item ONLY if you never mess with the price on the item screen.  As soon as you manually change the cost price on the item screen, it stops updating automatically.  I know of no way to restart the process, and truthfully it makes no difference to anything.  Enter the price you are ordering at on the PO, it will transfer to the bill when you enter it.  That price will change when you enter the bill and allocate shipping, import tax, brokerage amounts if any.

Item cost price incorrect in Purchase Order

Thank you for your mail Rusler

The problem is it has effected the price on every single item we enter into a purchase order.

It also has stopped adding the vat the the total of the purchase order.

If I restore from a previous backup it works correctly but then suddenly starts with this error again.

We have not changed the cost price in the item screen at all.

Any other ideas please ?

Item cost price incorrect in Purchase Order

Thank you for your mail Rusler.

We did not change the cost price in the item screen at all.

The problem is it effects every single products price in the Purchase order.

It also now fails to add the vat to the toal in the purchase order screen.

Its so strange. I have used QB for 20 years and have never encountered such a thing.

Any other suggestions please ?
