Layout Designer quits unexpectedly whenever I try to modify a template. I even upgraded to 2019 hoping that would fix my problem. It didn't. Any help would be appreciated.
Yep. Trying to figure out if designer is a separate program I can reload or part of Quickbooks. I'm slightly miffed that I spent the $$ to upgrade to 19 and still have the problem.
I bought QuickBook for Mac 2019 brand new online from an Intuit sales person and installed and activated it per their instructions. Designer has never worked for me. I only get this error. Hopefully, someone will jump on here with a solution.
Well, I talked with support and they say I have a corrupted company file. And they want 350.00 for a maintenance fee. I’m going to get my $$ back for the upgrade and blow away my company file and start over. If this works I’ll stay with 16. If not I’ll probably move on to another solution. I’ll let you know..
We are aware of this happening in QuickBooks Mac 2016 and 2019. Its a bug with security settings - we'll have an update very soon that will show up when you run QuickBooks->Check For Updates.
I'm glad to hear the recent update fixed the Layout Designer issue, @enetanswers.
Thank you for sharing this with us. Other customers who might have the same issue will now be able to work on their transaction templates by updating QuickBooks to its latest release.
