How do I delete locations in QB online? I see only Edit and Make Inactive options.

Any list item associated with a transaction cannot be deleted without locating the associated transactions and taking the location off of those transactions.

Thank you for the info. The thing is each city has multiple zip codes which were entered specific to each transaction. I actually only need the city name, so there is a multitude of excess locations (zip codes) that we are going to have to buy an upgraded QB online because of, and is the only reason for doing so. I hate to pay extra simply because I cannot delete unused and unnecessary locations.

Thanks for posting in the Community, @Speir Leak Inc. I can provide clarification on making Locations inactive in QuickBooks Online.

Clicking ‘delete’ for Chart of Accounts, Classes or Locations just makes that field inactive. Transactions associated with that account, class or location will remain accessible. As a result, you will not have to remove the Location from a transaction should you choose to make it inactive.

I've included a brief video to serve as an example of this:

Should you have Locations that you no longer need, you can make them inactive in order to free up some space. For additional insight into this, please see the following article: How to Set Up and Use Location Tracking.

I'd be glad to answer any additional questions should you have any. Hope you have a good weekend.
