Log in as Quickbooks Desktop Administrator prompt is USELESS

I have spent 2.5 days trying to resolve why & when, on the workstation, the popup "Log in as Quickbooks Desktop Administrator" appears instead of a User/Password prompt instead.

Your LOUSY Support refused to identify (OR JUST DOESN'T KNOW) WHY this message appears.

I finally figured it out, on my own.  The Company File needs to have a User other than the default Admin set up.  And then, even though the Administrator sets up the User with a password, the User must change that password upon signing in to said Company File.

This small business recently (January 2020) switched to QB from Sage and, if this kind of NON-SUPPORT continues, it may look for something more reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and helpful.  IT support was kind enough to only bill $600 for 2.5 days of onsite support for a call to Intuit should have taken no more than 5 minutes.  YOU ARE CRAPTASTIC, AND I'M BEING KIND.

@Bardi

Did you pay $600 to get support? How did you contact this support?

The Tech Support is a local computer geek that answers the phone and tries his best to fix whatever issues this company has with its computer systems.

You might consider (if you're with Intuit) providing better Troubleshooting tips that cover most basic issues (like, why can't I open a company file on a licensed workstation?).  Or, train the phone support to be able to handle simple configuration and setup issues.

I am not sure what kind of support did you pay to your local computer geek. You may pay us for less than $600 for a simple troubleshoot. 8)
