Memorized Reports - Failure to Run

We are using QB 2019 Enterprise Manufacturing & Wholesale. We have issues with the memorized reports not working after they are saved. We typically start with a canned report - sales by customer, or item, etc. Customize the report, save it in the memorized reports. It works fine for a while, but at some point when you click on the report in the menu, nothing happens; no report screen shows up. It's in the menu and you can click on it but the report fails to run.

 

Any ideas?

Your memorized report usually doesn’t open due to the location not existing or is empty. Let me help you perform some troubleshooting steps.

 

First, you can re-sort your memorized reports list. Here’s how:

  1. Click on Reports from the menu bar.
  2. Choose Memorized Reports.
  3. Select Memorized Report List.
  4. From the Memorized Report drop-down, choose Re-sort List.
  5. Click on OK.

Then, you can run the Rebuild Data utility to ensure that there’s no damage in your company file. You can follow the steps below:

  1. Click on File from the menu bar.
  2. Choose Utilities, then click on Rebuild Data.
  3. On the QuickBooks Information window, select OK.
  4. If your screen displays QuickBooks is not responding but your cursor is moving, Rebuild is still ongoing.
  5. Select OK when you see Rebuild has completed.
