Multiple locations - inventory

Adding multiple locations for inventory isn't available in QuickBooks Online, @mmursch-auburnwa.

You may consider integrating a third-party app to QuickBooks Online. For this, I recommend visiting our Intuit App Center. You can browse for available apps that best suit your business needs.

What kind of business do you run? A field service?

I work for a Water Company. I use QB for inventory and when the Crews repair meters, at no cost to our customers, I "Sales Receipt" it out of inventory. I need multiple locations to track parts going from inventory (shop) to trucks then to a specific address by "Sales Receipt".

Since there is no way to have multiple locations, would it work to duplicate each item under another category and label as trucks? Would I be able to move items (quantity) from one category to another, like a transfer?

What app would you recommend? I am new to QB.

You'll want to check out our site for the third-party applications that are QuickBooks compatible.

Another way to check is by going to:

1. Apps tab, then Find Apps.
2. Type "inventory" in the Search for an app field. This will show all the list of applications in the drop-down.
3. You can also click Browse category drop-down.
