I appreciate the troubleshooting you’ve already done. Let’s look at a few more things to get your mileage tracking back on track.
One thing to check is your Wi-Fi hotspot. While it’s fine to leave your Wi-Fi on, being connected to a hotspot while driving can interfere with how the app records trips.
Once you check your connection, let’s look at the mileage settings inside the QuickBooks app to see if there is a green checkmark or an exclamation icon.
On iOS
- Open the QuickBooks app.
- Tap the Menu, select Settings, and then tap Mileage.
- Select Troubleshooting and review the items under the Make sure these settings are correct section.
On Android
- Open the QuickBooks app.
- Tap the Menu and select Settings.
- Tap Mileage and check the list in the Avoid missed trips section.
If you see an error, follow the prompts on your screen to fix it. If the issue continues, please look at steps 5 through 9 in this article: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks mobile app.
