Good Morning, Eloise.

Currently, we have received several reports from other users, like you, whose transactions are not updating with Connect to PayPal. Rest assured that our engineers have been notified and they're in all hands working to fix this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can consider manually uploading your bank transactions. But please know that you'll have to download your transactions directly from your bank's website. Once you've downloaded them, here's how you can upload your transactions:

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Under Bank and Credit Cards, select your PayPal account.
  3. On the Update menu, select File upload.
  4. Find and open the saved file of your downloaded transactions.
  5. Select Upload.
  6. Click Finish.

To add, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can manually upload your bank transactions: Manually Upload Transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Meanwhile, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support so you'll be added to the list of affected users. Once you've been added to the list, you'll receive all available updates about this on-going issue through your email. To do so:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter PayPal Transactions in the How can we help you with? field.
  4. Click Let's talk.
  5. Select Get a callbackChat, or Call us.

Lastly, I've also included this helpful article that'll help you add, match, or categorize your transactions after uploading them: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

We appreciate your patience as we're working on this. Please let me know in the comment section down below if you have any other concerns.

I am trying to manually upload the Paypal transactions since my connect to Paypal is not importing any transactions. I am getting an error-

Something’s not quite right
Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred. Please try again.

I have tried many times. My data is 1000 rows which is the max allowed. Is there any way around this. I have a deadline of this week and nothing seems to be working

Hello there, sawhneyanu.

The error you received is unlikely related to the file you're trying to upload. Cache helps the browser's background processes to run smoothly. However, it can also cause issues when piled up on your browser. Here's how to get rid of any cache-related concerns:

  1. Open a private browser and log in to your QBO account. It uses but doesn't store cache.
  2. If you can import the file without any error, we can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.
  3. Other supported browsers are good alternatives, too. Each of them uses a different cache.

Aside from that you might also consider the format when importing the file. You can use these links for more details:

Here's also an article that can help you if you encounter importing errors: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online.

Let us know how this goes so we can further assist you. Have a great day!
