Need to print multiple tax lines in Quickbooks Point of Sale

Good day, jecalderon.

Let me show you how to modify the sales receipt and sales order templates. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the File menu, hover over Tools, and select Print Designer.
  2. Select Sales Receipt or Sales Order from the Select a Document Type drop-down.
  3. Select a template you want to use and click the Modify button.
  4. On the Printer Designer window, double click the field with the sample total amount that you can see on the Body Footer section.
  5. Check the Tax information box, then click OK.POS.PNG

Also, you can go to the Help menu and select Help Contents. From there, you can search for any articles or steps on how to use and configure the QuickBooks Point of Sale.

Additionally, here are some of the links you can check to see the list of compatible hardware drivers for Point of Sale.

Please post again if you have additional questions. Have a great day!

Thank you for your reply. But there is a last step that is not clear. I do not see anything here pointing to configure taxes.  The template section is fixed and can not identify  how to modify to add the second tax line. Please, may add details to allow me see the final template with 2 tax lines?

We want to ensure you're able to configure the template print, Jecalderon.

I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. An agent has more tools to better guide you. Here's how:

  1. Open this link.
  2. Get the number or chat with them under the product you're using.

I'll also share the article on how to transfer a sales receipt to a different customer in QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale as future reference.

We're right here if you need our help. Feel free to post anytime.

Has anyone here tried to modify the template to break-down the multiplke taxes?

Need to print multiple tax lines in Quickbooks Point of Sale

Hello there, jecalderon.

The total tax rate and the amount will show only show on the bottom-right of the Body Footer section. We're unable to breakdown multiple taxes used for each line item to display on the section. However, a note at the bottom will indicate that transactions have Multiple Tax. I'll surely take note of this feedback. They are ways on how we can improve our software more.
