Thank you for posting here in QuickBooks Community. I'll provide information and steps about the automatic numbering of invoices.

QuickBooks will automatically assign numbers to your sales forms by default. To stop this, I suggest going to the Account and Settings page. From there, you can turn on the Custom transaction numbers option to customize or use your own numbering format.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon.
2. Select Account and Settings.
3. Go to the Sales tab. Then, choose the Sales form content section.
4. Click the Custom transaction numbers option. Then, turn it on.
5. Click Save and hit Done.

Once done, open an invoice, and in the Invoice no. field, enter the custom number you want to apply for your forms. The sequence you set here applies to all sales forms.
