new PC and new version of QB, should I install the new QB on the new PC and then transfer the 2018 data from the old PC?

I bought a new PC and new QB 2020, should I install the new 2020 on the new PC and then transfer the data from my old PC and QB 2018 to the new PC?

new PC and new version of QB, should I install the new QB on the new PC and then transfer the 2018 data from the old PC?

1. Install QB 2020 on the new machine and activate the license

2. Create a backup copy (i.e QBB file) on your QB 2018.

3. Copy the QBB file and paste it to the new machine.

4. Run QB 2020 and restore the file to proceed.
