Buy nowSetting up a new computer for one of my employees, I installed QBE 24 and ran the update and it updated to version R19_30 or R19P. All of my others are R18_67 or R18P. I work with multiple QB files. Recently my QB 2024 Premium Accountant Edition updated with the R19 and since then all my QB 2024 files will have an Unrecoverable Error when working in the file! Today my Enterprise 2024 updated, and it also is now getting the unrecoverable error. QB supports fix was to Repair the program with a reinstallation, but that didn't work, same issue. Yes, I can open a sample file. I can open all my files. After working in the file for a bit, the unrecoverable error message appears. I have tried the Verify data, Rebuild, and Repair. None of these processes have fixed the issue.
Try this one.
One additional step to check is whether the qbmapi64.exe error is still occurring. Please press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard and select Task Manager to end that task before moving on to the next steps.
Next, let’s jump into your install folder. Typically, it’s located in C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 2024\. Once you're there, look for a file named D3DCompiler_47.dll and just rename it to D3DCompiler_47.dll.old. Now, we’re going to swap it for a fresh version, head over to C:\Windows\System32, copy the D3DCompiler_47.dll file from there, and paste it right back into that QuickBooks folder C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 2024\.
